Mahoromatic: Tadaima Okaeri OVA Announced (In Japan)

A two part Mahoromatic television special edition has been scheduled to premiere on the BS-TBS satellite and cable channel on October 17 and 24 in Japan with the official title Mahoromatic: Tadaima Okaeri.

ANN reports that Shouji Saeki is returning from the Mahoromatic: Summer Special to direct this new work at the Gainax anime studio, and Kazuhiro Takamura is returning from every previous Mahoromatic anime project to design the characters and oversee the animation production. Also reprising their roles are most of the cast members and the musical composer Toshio Masuda. Tatsuhiko Urahata is writing the scripts based on Bow Ditama and Bunjuro Nakayama's original Mahoromatic manga.

Now the question is, if and when we will get this over here in the US? I haven't a clue at this time, but with the DVD and BluRay scheduled for release in Japan in late December, it wouldn't be earlier than maybe next summer.
