Soukyuu no Fafner Tribute Song Single - Yakusoku by angela

Angela - Soukyuu no Fafner Tribute SongJust under one and a half months after the release of Beautiful fighter (the Shikabane Hime OP, that you can download here), angela released their twenty-fifth single. Titled Yakusoku, the single commemorates the fifth anniversary of the 2004 mecha anime series, Soukyuu no Fafner. Indeed, angela had done all the Fafner OP and EDs back then. Shangri-La was the OP and the 2 EDs were: Separation and Proof. Download the full Tribute Song Single here.

Here's the tracklist:

1. Yakusoku
2. innocence
3. Shangri-La
4. Yakusoku (off vocal version)
5. innocence (off vocal version)
6. Shangri-La (off vocal version)

7.5/10 Yakusoku is a sweet ballad. I really like the song. Angela's singer has an incredible and powerful voice. It's the first ballad I hear from them and frankly I'm quite surprised. I thought the singer's voice really suited their fast-paced tracks, but apparently they're also pretty good at ballads! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Unfortunately I couldn't find any youtube video of the song, so if anyone finds one, please let me know!

New Series OP and ED - Shikabane Hime

Shikabane Hime - AngelaShikabane Hime, or Corpse Princess is the story of an undead girl who seeks to hunt down 108 corpses in order to go to heaven. Sounds tempting doesn't it??

Both the OP and ED are from singer angela. And you can download the full OP/ED single here.

7/10
The opening theme song for Shikabane Hime is entitled Beautiful fighter by angela. It starts out sounding very gothic but then it has a more J-Rock feel to it. I find the chorus rather pleasant, and the string arrangements very nice to listen to. Love the violon and electric guitar solo (They remind me of this). Angela's voice is also rather interesting.

6.5/10 The Ending Theme is called My story, also by angela. Again, a J-Rock track, but while pleasant enough, I still prefer the OP.
